Star of the Day Bundle for Primary This Star of the Day bundle includes writing paper, awards, rubrics, a personal dictionary and MORE!!!! Start the year off having students of ALL ages writing full paragraphs. Get to know each of your students individually and make them feel special with the included certificates! In this Student of the Day bundle, students will be interviewed and their classmates will write about them using the details that they have learned. All materials are available in “Star of the Day” or “Star of the Week”. This packet is geared for Primary Grades. I also have an Intermediate packet available in my store. Life as an American Slave Interactive Stations

This series of Life as a Slave Stations are designed to humanize the people who were slaves as much as possible. Students often learn about the Civil War and the existence of slavery, but not about the daily life of the people who were slaves. The six stations are designed to help bridge the gap. The six stations focus on: 1. A picture book station 2. Listening to Songs of Slavery 3. Examining the Food and Clothes of Slaves 4. Studying Photographs of Slavery 5. Learning about life on a plantation 6. The Problems of Freedom These stations use primary and secondary source materials and are appropriate for students as young as 5th grade. Students will spend time examining the materials at each station and then as a group, write a response to a focus question. All needed materials are included, but you may need to log on to a few websites before beginning. The needs of ESL (English as a Second Language) students have also been addressed. This End of the Year Memory Book is a fun twist on traditional memory books. The premise of this memory book is that the mayor wants to choose a student and design a festival around them! This book is designed for grades 3-5. This End of the Year Memory Book contains: *Memory Book Student Cover- Students will color their own end of the year memory book covers *All About Me *My Festival- students will design booths around their favorite foods, favorite games and favorite rewards *My Family- An end of the year memory book page dedicated to the student's family *The Ringleader- Students will write about the Ringleader!
